What previous customers have had to say about us, our team and our trips.....

-Thanks to your thoughtful planning, we had simply a splendid trip – I mean this with great sincerity. The activities, the pace, the selection of inns and the truly heartwarming guides and drivers really made all the difference. (We hope to encourage Nouri and Omar to visit us in the states). We would not have done anything differently!

Please use us as a reference at any time. I have already been spreading the word on Epic Morocco amongst my friends in New York.

- We had been meaning to email you as soon as we got back to let you know what an amazing time we had on our trip.  The valleys were beautiful (we visited both Ait Bougmez and the neighbouring Ait Bouli) and we were extremely lucky with the weather, which was mostly sunny.  We loved the villages, scenery and walking.  Despite the remoteness of the valley, the organisation was flawless.  Mustapha (as you know!) is a simply fantastic guide.  We were overwhelmed by how welcoming, knowledgable and thoughtful he was - as well as being a very fun person to be around.  It was a particular highlight for us that, of the 3 nights of the trip, we stayed with his family for the first night and Hussain (the chef/mule guide)'s family on the third.  Both families were so welcoming and it was a privilege to be invited to stay with them - and of course the people more generally are incredibly kind and generous (we had several unsolicited tea stops and meals). We would unhestitatingly recommend the destination, your company and Mustapha's services to our friends (we actually hope to come back to Morocco with a larger group in the next couple of years, possibly back to the Ait Bougmez or on a mountain-biking trip, so we'll be in touch!).

-AB, Tailor made trek Ait Bougmez

-Just wanted to say thank you for a very memorable and most enjoyable holiday. We ALL had a truly fabulous time, even O (who wasn't too sure about the whole experience prior to going). Please pass on our thanks to Raschiid, he is a very knowledgeable, professional and caring Mountain Guide. We have never been so well looked after and we enjoyed his company too.  Thanks also to the two mule handlers: Abdullah and Ishmale and their lovely mules!

It was my birthday when we stayed at Timichi and Raschiid and Brahim kindly organised a 'cake' with candles. If you have the opportunity, please convey my thanks to Brahim, he was a very kind and welcoming host. Richard enjoyed the stay at Timichi the most. We have been recommending Epic Morocco to all of our friends and some of them are quite keen to follow in our footsteps!!

-DC, High Atlas Quick Escape

- We had a really terrific time, and found the trip a great mix of the completely new and the wonderfuly reminiscent. Thanks ++ to you and Renato for looking out for the kids so attentively on the pistes, and including them in the group, it was a great experience for them. Several other companies turned them down, so we're grateful that you took the chance. Also thanks ++ to your travelling team, especially Abdullah and Hassan, who were wonderfully kind and thoughtful .... Hassan had to retrieve my multiple tatty little packages of sand and rocks from all corners of the car, which he did with very good grace at the end of a long drive.... they are all proudly scattered around our garden and mantlepieces. It was a complete pleasure to travel with them (Hassan and Big Abs that is, not the rocks!)

-MG and family, MTB tour High Atlas and Sahara

-We had an absolutely fantastic trip, everything went smoothly, we were always met on time, the drivers drove carefully(!) and the Riads were all gorgeous.  The trek was a real highlight and I have to commend Rashid and Ali on being such a fabulous team. There was always a mint tea on the go (when we weren't walking obviously) and the food and snacks were all top quality. They both worked hard behind the scenes to make sure we had a smooth trip and it was greatly appreciated. They were also great company despite the language barrier between Ali and ourselves. Thanks for the advice and support given and the work you did to make the trip a success, we've recommended Epic Morocco to lots of people already.
SN, High Atlas Quick Escape

- Well, where to start?  Other than to say a massive thank you for arranging what was probably the best adventure we've ever had! The organisation of the trip was fantastic, from being picked up at the airport to being delivered back there. Rachid, the guide, and Ali, the mule handler were brilliant, courteous, thoughtful and generally really nice people. We stretched ourselves physically but at no time did we feel that we couldn't complete the trek (even with my tricky stomach each morning), they recognised the pace we could manage and encouraged us all the way.
Our accomodation was perfect; we especially fell in love with Douar Samra in Imlil and lighting a fire at night in our room was a special treat for my pyromaniac husband. Overall, it was a trip which couldn't be faulted, so again thank you very much for the careful arrangements. If you ever need letters of recommendations etc to other potential travellers, please don't hesistate to put us at the top of your list.

SC, Quick Escape

-We just thought we would send an email to thank you so much for our trip at the beginning of April. We both had such a great time, the scenery was amazing, the trek was really good and varied and all of the accommodation was great, everyone was very welcoming. The best part of the trip was Nouri. He was a brilliant guide, always put us first, did everything possible to help and make sure our trip was unforgettable.
We will definitely recommend you to others looking for a bit of adventure on holiday.
Also, you were really helpful before we left, especially the information you sent.

EM, High Atlas Quick Escape

-Just to say thanks for organising what was a great trip.
Everything worked like clockwork and the standard of the accommodation as all very good and the hosts welcoming.

MH, Tailor made tour

-The trip was great!  Excellently organised, and we were brilliantly looked after.  The girls really enjoyed it, particularly the trekking with the dromadaries.  E and N were fine with the travelling but A found it a bit long (we all enjoyed the bits when she fell asleep).  Managed to buy some quite expensive carpets and the girls got some souvenirs from the souks.
Thanks ever so much for organising it so well !
 Many thanks !
MC, Tailor made tour

Many thanks for a really excellent trip. I was very impressed that everything happened exactly as advertised (pick ups, transfers, guides etc). Rachid was a great guide. It was unfortunate that we didn't get to see Toubkal but it was clearly going to be an ice climb rather than a trek so a good call to pull out. I haven't really got any useful suggestions as I thought everything was great!

-RW, Toubkal Climb

-Just a quick note to say thanks for putting together a great trip for me, it all ran very smoothly and I met some very welcoming people along the way. I thought both Douar Samra and Riad Watier were beautiful, and the service at both was excellent. I really felt at home. I particularly enjoyed the 3 days in the mountains – I can’t speak highly enough of Rachid, he really looked after me, it was a pleasure to spend time with him. Unfortunately after only being away 8 days, I feel like I’ve been away for about a month! Hard to settle back.

I’m sure I’ll be in touch again in future as I can’t wait to return.

-EB, Tailor made tour

- Back safe and sound thanks - and already missing the Jbel Saghro, all the people we met. This was our first visit to Morocco and we are already planning when we can return.

To say we enjoyed 'Walking with Nomads' would be a massive understatement - it was absolutely fantastic, much more than we had imagined or expected in every way. We were bowled over by the light, the landscapes, the flora and fauna but, above all else, the people. Mustapha, our Guide, was totally engaged and engaging. His vast experience, natural enthusiasm and great sense of humour provided the perfect mix of fun and focus. Abdulla's excellent cooking provided delicious meals, and the Muleteers worked well as a team setting up and breaking camp - a great treat to have one's tent put up/taken down each day. Zaid, Hassan and their nomad families were welcoming and included us in all aspects of their fascinating life. Through Mustapha's impressive linguistic ability, we were able to have some very meaningful discussions  - as well as sharing jokes.

AB, Walking with Nomads.

- We wanted to say a huge thankyou for the honeymoon of a lifetime.  What an amzing place and thanks to you we definitely saw Morocco at its best.  The variety was incredible.  Mountains, sea, desert, cities, gorges......

The honeymoon was stress free and the places which you chose were exactly what we hoped for and more.  Everyone had their identity and the people were very friendly.  Meeting you in Marrakech was great and your advice again meant the road trip was very memorable.  Such amazing views.  Aziz was such a gentleman and would trek with him again, his food, company and knowledge made it for us.

Charlie thankyou again, we will be recommending you to our friends and when we come out again we will be in touch.  We both hope your company continues to grow well into the future.

AS, Honeymoon

- Just wanted to drop you a line to commend Nouri (as if I need to). As well as a knowledgeable and interesting chap, he was constantly good fun throughout our hike, always kept us amused and kept our spirits up when the walk home got a bit tiring. We never felt rushed or overwhelmed and I can't really stress enough how cool a guide he was. You have a real asset there.

JG, Toubkal Climb

-We are writing to say thank you for organising our holiday to Morocco.  The choices of acommodation and structure of the holiday were perfect for us, especially in comparison with other people on tours from the UK!
Our mountain guide, Norie, was brilliant.  He understood exactly what we wanted and taught us so much about Morocco, the Berbers and culture in the High Atlas mountains.  We hope our singing wasn't too much for him!
All of the accommodation was delightful.  It was great to stay in two such contrasting riads and Jacqueline's guesthouse was a must.  The food in the riad in Essoiuira and Jacqueline's guest house was outstanding. The air conditioning in El Borj was much appreciated in the middle of the Marrakech heatwave!
Thanks again-chokran!  We will be highly recommending Epic Morocco to anyone travelling there

GD, Tailor made tour

- Thank you for setting up our holiday in Morocco.  It was extremely well organised, and everyone was unfailingly polite, helpful and pleasant- nothing was too much trouble.  Please convey our thanks to the manager of the Riad El Borj who got us breakfast at 4.30am on our final morning, also his staff who looked after us so well; to Jean in Essouira for his enthusiasm, welcome and restaurant recommendations, and a special thanks to Nourrie, who was charm personified(!). Nourrie was good company, as well as being knowledgeable about the history and natural history of the Atlas Mountains, and Morocco in general. He also had the quiet tact to always stop and find something for us to look at when I was in need of a breather!

We have learnt much about Morocco and its people, and thank you for making it possible.

JA, Tailor made tour

- The holiday was absolutely fantastic, and we had an amazing time. Every place you booked us into was superb, the transfers and everything all worked like clockwork, and the week walking with Zaid and co was amazing. The family (and indeed everyone out there) were so welcoming, and we really felt like we were part of the family and genuinely accepted. We even bought our Berber drums to practice our nighlty chant/sing/shuffle routine at home! Not sure that teaching them the hokey cokey was fully appreciated, but they all loved the chorus part and little Zara and Mohamed certainly enjoyed it! The whole thing was well balanced in terms of the periods of acivity and travel, luxury and more basic, and the desert experience (our honeymoon, or at least it felt like it!), Essouria everything was wonderful. Everywhere we went eveyone was raving on about what a very good man you are, generally while we were enterig yet another magical place and squealing about how good old Charlie had done it again!

- Hi   I was part of trek to Toubkal last w/e.  Just wanted to say that it was an excellent trip - all aspects including guides, walking and accommodation - although most of us got no sleep in refuge (snoring).    Nouri and Aziz were both great in difficult circumstances as fitness levels in the group were so variable  - the ascent/descent time varied between 4 and 8 hours !

RM, Toubkal Climb

- I wanted to thank you once again for setting up such a terrific trip for us. We had an exciting and memorable time in Morocco. It was definitely an adventure dealing with the changing weather conditions but the hospitality at our hotels/guest houses and the continuous encouragement from Noori helped us (almost) forget about the rain, snow, hail and mudslides.

BR, Toubkal Climb

- I just wanted to say a big thank you for organising our holiday. We had a fantastic time. Everyone at the riads we stayed at were lovely - very warm and welcoming. Our mountain guide Husain led us at a good pace. He was quite quiet and thoughtful but we had a good laugh with him. The scenery in the mountains is stunning.

We got great restaurant recommendations and ate really well all week. So much fresh fruit and salads etc - we've come back glowing!!  All the drivers were very punctual and friendly.

We were very lucky in getting the annexe of the El Borj to ourselves the first night and most of the evening before we came home! What a gorgeous place. All the accommodation was fantastic.

We'll definitely go back to Morocco as there are so many more things to see.  And I will definitely be recommending Epic Morocco to friends and family!

- Nouredinne (guide) is the best!!  He is enthusiastic, energetic, fun and knowledgeable. He really made the trip. Time after time he facilitated our interaction with the Berber people, which we found to be really fun. He was wonderful with our children too. They really bonded, and we found ourselves missing him after our departure. Thank you so much for assigning hium as our guide.

LF, tailor made tour

- I wanted to say thanks for the wonderful holiday.  I found the trip really enjoyable – the cycling was fantastic and the hotels better than I expected.  As a complete mtb novice I was a bit nervous I had bitten off more than was wise, but it seemed just right – stretching (and strenuous) but not excessive.

I was especially impressed by your organisation – I felt that at all times you were completely in charge, without ever making this uncomfortable.    I especially appreciated the efforts you made to encourage us with the hill climbs.

So, altogether a wonderful experience.  Thanks so much.

SP, Atlas Biking Tour

- The trip was fantastic!
At times I did think ' what am I doing bringing a whole lot of retired women from the plush suburbs on such a trip!'. But they rose to the challenge magnificently. The photos Rachid took of us all on our camels in a variety of garbs will be someting to behold. Thank you so much for the plan and organisation. Rachid was wonderful and it was so nice to have Moustafa again, who joins in the fun. The places we stayed were excellent and provided the necessary contrasts as of course there was quite a lot of driving. Kasbah Derkaoua was quite extraordinary as we had arrived in a bit of a sandstorm, and this amazing place seemed to come out of nowhere, and there we were sitting down to dinner as though in a restaurant in London. At this point Rachid and I were praying to whatever gods for a weather shift! So many aspects of the trip were literally stunning. I am just in love with Morocco.
PLJ, Art Group tour 2009

- I just wanted to drop a line to tell you what exceptional guides you have in your employ. Four of my friends and I spent the day in the Atlas Mountains on one of your 4x4 excursions and had the best day of our trip. Having used another company for several other excursions I can say that we were truly impressed with your level of service. The guide Nouredinne and driver Moubarak were great company and made us feel as if this was their day to enjoy the mountains too- made us feel very welcome and as if showing us around was exactly what they wanted to be doing. The trip allowed for a perfect level of flexibility to stop along the way or get distracted paired with planned stops. Can't say enough about it! Thank you!

SB, Atlas Excursion

- I have just come back from Morocco & did the Toubkal climb through your company. I just wanted to thank your company for such a fantastically organised trip - it was hassle-free & enjoyable from start to finish. Hossein was a phenomenal guide - friendly, knowlegeable, extrememly helpful & very patient with the group members that struggled with the climb. The other members of the team (mule guys & cook) were great too, the food was brilliant & there was so much of it!!! I honestly could not fault the trip at all. Congratulations for running such a professional tour company. I will not hestitate to recommend you to any friends wishing to visit Morocco in the future

LG, Toubkal Climb

-We both wanted to write and say what a fabulous experience we had on the Walking with Nomads trip. It was a true pleasure and a privilege to meet and spend time with Zaid and his family and the trek itself was simply magical (very well guided). It's hard to put into words the impression that the whole experience made on us. The stay in Essaouira was just perfect after coming down from the mountains. So, thanks for all the advice and help which made this a truly memorable experience. Your patience was very much appreciated!

CK, Walking with Nomads

-Just returned from the Walking with Nomads - what a fantastic experience on so many levels. Amazing, striking scenery, a humbling experience living alongside Berber nomads for the week, and a hugely fun introduction to Morocco. Also a very well-organised, user-friedly tour....I'll be back.

ST, Walking with Nomads

- I have been meaning to write for a couple of weeks to say what a marvellous time we had on our short holiday to Morocco. Accomodation was great - lovely Riads in Marrakesh and in the final village in the High Atlas (the name of which escapes me for the moment) - though perhaps the place we most enjoyed was the first, very basic, gite in the mountains where we felt particularly welcome and where my daughter lost her heart to the family's goat- and lifts, picnics etc were all provided with great efficiency and comfort.  What really made our days in the High Atlas so successful was the guidance of Nouri - he was endlessly patient and charming and was extremely interesting about the people and the area and Morocco in general.  He took us to drink tea with a family he knew in one of the villages and acted throughout as a marvellous host - the fact that he is partly Berber himself and could explain to an extent the life the mountain people lead made it all so interesting .

I am longing to go  back to the High Atlas - Nouri told my thirteen year old all about the trips Epic Morocco runs to the Sahara, however, and she is now pushing to go there. Either way, finances and opportunity allowing, we will be back in touch I hope.

JG, High Atlas Quick Escape

- I'm sorry for the belated email but I wanted to say a big thank you for organising our trip to Morocco in June. We had an amazing time and the accomodation you chose was perfect in every place we went to.

Nori, our mountain guide, was fantastic and took our mind off our weary legs with his stories!

JE, Marrakech and Toubkal Hikes

- Just wanted to let you know what a marvellous time I had on the trek with Nomads. It was an experience that cannot be easily put into words; for me it was emotionally and spiritually transforming. The combination of landscape and culture ,and absolutely fantastically knowledgable ,skilled and caring guides made it a trip to remember and left me desperate for more Moroccan experiences. Many thanks. Now I am going to see what other trips  I can come on next!!!

Best wishes, LH, Walking with Nomads.

- Back safe & sound and a great experience and the accommodaton very enjoyable- thank you from us all. We will return.

Intend to go on to try Kili now!!  Let us know if I can be a reference for potential new customers- happy to recommend you.

GB, High Atlas Quick Escape

- That was such a brilliant holiday - everything I hoped from it - nothing unexpected (except torrential rain!) - such hospitality from Zaid - great guides, they could not have been better - lovely food from an excellent cook - and such brilliant mountains

thanks

VB, Walking with Nomads

- Charlie, we had the best time!
Thank you so much. Rachid was great....Will be in touch when I get my breath back to discuss maybe doing same or a variant next year, but wanted to let you know what a success it was asap. This is my sort of stuff, and you couldn't have done it better!
PLJ, Art Group Tour

- I wanted to say thanks for organzing such an amazing trip for us. Just awesome from start to finish, and the two day hiking was spectacular - we loved every moment. Please tell everyone there what an pleasure it was to be their guests, I do not think we could have hoped for more.
Regards and many thanks
RF, Tailor made tour

-Just wanted to say how much Ken and I enjoyed the trek with Nomads- it felt like a real privilege to be included in their journey, they are a lovely family and its an experience I will treasure ! I will definitely continue to recommend the trek to others- as well as Jaqueline's fantastic Riad !

AS, Walking with Nomads

-We really enjoyed ourselves, it was a most amazing experience!  I cannot speak highly enough of Rachid and Abdul.  Despite feeling at times that the whole thing was beyond me Rachid in particular kept me focused and Abdul's unfailing cheerfulness and good nature was an inspiration.  It was wonderful to have the contact with Zaid and his family, the children are a delight. I know that the 4 of us would love to come on the trip again, although maybe the 2nd half would be a bit too much for me in particular, I think I will have to stick to the lower part!  Please pass on our regards to Rachid and Abdul and i wish you every success in the future with this trip in particular and any others that you may devise.

MK, Walking with Nomads

-We got back home from Marrakesh last night and I wanted to say thank you for a great trip. It was all well organised and Rashid is an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and concerned for his walkers. I found the going quite hard up to the pass between Timichi and Tachadirrt and was very happy to spend the rest day at Jacqueline’s place in Tamaterte (which is utterly delightful). Ian was very happy to reach the summit of Toubkal, and to see the shrine and the refuge on the way. All in all, very well put together, and with good food, especially the snacks and lunches provided by Rashid. Thanks again, and please use us as a testimonial, I can write even more effusive stuff if you want!

GJ, High Atlas Quick Escape and Toubkal climb

- Just to say thanks for arranging a brilliant holiday. We especially enjoyed the mountains and hope to go back at some stage (maybe for mountain biking this time). A big thanks to Rachid who was great - we couldn't have wished for a better guide.

TP, Marrakech and Toubkal Hikes

- A somewhat belated “thank you” for all the work that you put in to sort out our trip. It definitely lived up to expectations and I can’t think of a better birthday present that I could have given my neice. Again we had a really interesting route where we felt like we got a glimpse of life in Morocco enhanced because we were travelling by foot and bike. There was that amazing mix of accommodation where it was quite exciting to wonder what the next night would be like, excellent food and so many little extras like Rachids rose water or fresh bread from the village. I know that it doesn’t all happen by magic so thanks and please pass on my, our thanks to all the people that helped, always with great care and willingness. Tell Rachid that his ears should be burning a lot because we have told so many people about him. We are now trying to think what we should try and do next and who we might be able to persuade to come with us. People don’t know what they are missing!
