This small blue-and-white town, set against a backdrop of the Rif mountains, is the perfect place for a relaxing break. In fact, the best word to describe the atmosphere is relaxed: from the winding, cobbled, crowd-free streets, to its famous powder-blue paint, to the tranquil, café-lined, central square of the medina. With Spanish, Jewish and Muslim influences, there is wealth of history to discover, and just a short walk out of the town will lead you to beautiful hiking territory, with its crisp, fresh air and stunning views of this ‘blue pearl’.
